20th Century Museum
The Museum der Moderne „berlin modern“ at the Kulturforum will be completed later and will be more than twice as expensive as originally planned - but it will also be larger and greener.

Lunch concerts in the Philharmonie Berlin
Every Wednesday at 1 p.m. during the concert season (September to June) there are the popular lunchtime concerts in the foyer of the Philharmonie Berlin, which last about 40 to 50 minutes. Admission is free. Reservations are not possible. The number of people is limited for safety reasons - so it's better to be there a little earlier.

New National Gallery:
Free admission every Thursday afternoon
On every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. the admission to the New National Gallery is free - as part of Volkswagen Art4All. Then the special exhibitions in the upper hall, the collection presentation in the basement and the sculpture garden are accessible without a ticket. Live speakers invite visitors to talks and short tours of the exhibitions.
The Berlin Kulturforum
The Berlin Kulturforum with its museums, concert halls, libraries, institutes and a church, it is one of the city's cultural highlights. It defines the urban space west of Potsdamer Platz.
The exhibitions and
concerts at the Kulturforum, the changing role of the location in the history of the 20th century and, last but not least, the important architecture by Mies van der Rohe, Hans Scharoun, Hilmer and Sattler that can be found here today, make the forum an important sight in Berlin.
Location
The institutions at the Berlin Cultural Forum are grouped around St. Matthew's Church and Matthäikirchplatz.
In the south it is bounded by the canal "Landwehrkanal" and in the north by the park "Großer Tiergarten". In the East is located the place "Potsdamer Platz" and on the western side embassy buildings in particular are adjacent to the Kulturforum.

The painting gallery "Gemäldegalerie" at the Kulturforum can now also be experienced virtually!
There are 360° panoramic shots of all exhibition rooms, in which you can turn around and zoom in on the works of art. Most of the works have audio text and when you click on it more information will display.
In the summertime the Piazzetta turns into an open-air cinema with an inflatable screen, deck chairs and a cinema bar.

Every summer from June to late August 2023 many blockbusters and timeless film classics are shown in the evening hours.
Enjoy the wonderful, unique atmosphere watching good movies in a deck chair on mild summer evenings.

Highlights of the Berlin State Museums (SMB)
The Berlin State Museums (SMB) hold most of the exhibitions at the Berlin Kulturforum. This is why many people take the Piazzetta and the adjacent SMB museums for the much larger urban site "Kulturforum", which also includes the Berlin Philharmonic + Chamber Music Hall, the New State Library and the New National Gallery - also an SMB museum . Because of the many SMB exhibitions at the Berlin Kulturforum, there is a special SMB-website.
